Mandy, May 21, Aberdeen
Mandy came from Romania to a home in Aberdeen before Christmas, but struggled living with another dog in the home. She is now fostered in an experienced home with two other dogs. Her foster family adore her and have worked hard with Mandy to get her moving forwards. They say though, given Mandy's strong bonds with the humans in the house and the time it can take for her to accept dogs in her close space, she would be best adopted in a home as an only dog.
Training: Mandy can wait by the road, sit, lie down, stay, give paw, working on recall. Mandy is very quick and responsive and picks things up easily. She is a smart cookie.
Mandy's foster Mum says,
"Mandy is a slow burner but once she trusts you, she attaches strongly. She needs to do things at her own pace. She is very people focused. Mandi gets along with most male dogs outside the home but struggles to share space indoors. She thrives on 1-1 attention and she needs someone who’s around for a lot of the day and is dedicated to helping her continue building confidence and training. She is very physically affectionate with her people! Mandi needs an active lifestyle with lots of mental stimulation and enrichment. "
Mandy has not been cat tested. Older, dog savvy kids only please.
