Maggie, Nov., 18
Maggie needs to leave her current home due to heartbreaking circumstances. Her adoptive mum describes her thus:
''Maggie is a perfect family dog. She adores everybody and everybody adores her. She is very affectionate and gentle. She is absolutely fantastic with children and they all love her very much. When I first got Maggie she was very frightened of men and wouldn’t want to go near them. I have quite a lot of male family members which has helped her to overcome her fears. She no longer has that fear but, it may well return slightly with a move to a new home. ''
''I have a cat myself. At first Maggie was unpredictable around cats, partly because she was fearful of them. She tolerated one of my cats more than the other one at first but, now she is absolutely fine with both. She would have to be monitored with cats that may be in her new home. She is ok to be left alone but, that only happens occasionally. She thrives and feels secure with people around her.''
We are seeking a new home for Maggie close to where she lives now, in Hampshire. This would allow maggie and her new family the time needed for careful intros and as long as it takes for everyone to feel comfortable. We think she is spaniel sized but this is tbc.
Maggie has had some fear issues around German Shepherds.
